How you can make your mark</h3>

Make your mark as SHEQ Engineer within our Fleet Management / Nautical Department.
\\nIn this role you travel around the world to visit our dredging and support vessels; today you are in Singapore on board one of our Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers, next week you will be on a Cutter Suction Dredger in Abu Dhabi as our NINA ambassador. After that you will be back (after a period of leave) in Papendrecht for maintenance on our SHEQ systems and assist the Fleet management team with SHEQ queries.</p>

Your responsibilities: </strong></p>

In this role you support and guarantee the safe working environment on board of our vessels.</p>

  • On board, you assess our own processes and procedures.</li>
  • You support crew in the improvement of safety and compliance of their vessel</li>
  • Initiate actions to improve our own processes and procedures, following the principle: plan, do, check, and follow up on the actions.</li>
  • You have a vision on the development and implementation of SHEQ policy, programs, and systems.</li>
  • You are the SHEQ project contact person, from management and executives to supervisors and craftsmen.</li>
  • You are the 'go-to person' when it comes to information and support needs from strategic to operational level.</li></ul>

    Your qualities: </strong></p>

    You can make a difference as SHEQ Engineer if you have:</p>

    • A finished middle vocational (mbo) education towards safety science or experience on board as a seafarer.</li>
    • Knowledge of safety and affinity with vessels</li>
    • At least 3 years work experience.</li>
    • Experience with conducting audits.</li>
    • Affinity with the maritime \\u2013 dredging industry and project based organizations.</li>
    • Willing to travel worldwide with a ratio of 50-50.

        Extra information </strong> </p>

        • Your team:</u> You work as a SHEQ Engineer in the business unit Dredging. In this team there are  6 members, reporting to the Manager Nautical department, Edgar van Oers</li>
        • Where you will work: In the role of SHEQ Engineer you will be travelling half of the time. When you are in The Netherlands you will be based in our head office in Papendrecht. In consultation with your manager and your team, you can work partly at home and partly in the office during that period.  </li>
        • Full / part time job:</u> The position of SHEQ Engineer is a fulltime (40 hours a week) job. </li>

In this role you travel around the world to visit our dredging and support vessels; today you are in Singapore on board one of our Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers, next week you will be on a Cutter Suction Dredger in Abu Dhabi as our NINA ambassador. After that you will be back (after a period of leave) in Papendrecht for maintenance on our SHEQ systems and assist the Fleet management team with SHEQ queries.

Your responsibilities:

In this role you support and guarantee the safe working environment on board of our vessels.

  • On board, you assess our own processes and procedures.

  • You support crew in the improvement of safety and compliance of their vessel
    • \n
  • Initiate actions to improve our own processes and procedures, following the principle: plan, do, check, and follow up on the actions.

  • You have a vision on the development and implementation of SHEQ policy, programs, and systems.
    • \n
  • You are the SHEQ project contact person, from management and executives to supervisors and craftsmen.
    • \n
  • You are the 'go-to person' when it comes to information and support needs from strategic to operational level.

Your qualities:

You can make a difference as SHEQ Engineer if you have:

  • A finished middle vocational (mbo) education towards safety science or experience on board as a seafarer.
    • \n
  • Knowledge of safety and affinity with vessels
    • \n
  • At least 3 years work experience.

  • Experience with conducting audits.
    • \n
  • Affinity with the maritime – dredging industry and project based organizations.
    • \n
  • Willing to travel worldwide with a ratio of 50-50.

  • \nYour team: You work as a SHEQ Engineer in the business unit Dredging. In this team there are  6 members, reporting to the Manager Nautical department, Edgar van Oers
    • \n
  • Where you will work: In the role of SHEQ Engineer you will be travelling half of the time. When you are in The Netherlands you will be based in our head office in Papendrecht. In consultation with your manager and your team, you can work partly at home and partly in the office during that period.

  • \nFull / part time job: The position of SHEQ Engineer is a fulltime (40 hours a week) job.
