Make your mark as senior structural engineer at Boskalis Offshore Energy and work for prestigious and challenging offshore projects!</p>

As a senior structural engineer, you will be working for the Global Engineering department of the Boskalis Offshore Energy division in Papendrecht. This department is responsible for the strength verification of the vessels in the fleet and designing of various temporary works, structures and providing technical support to various business units/department within the Offshore Energy division. These often relate to complex projects, an area where Boskalis is an international leader \\u2013in the sustainable energy and oil & gas sectors, including work related to offshore wind farms and oil platforms. We work with state-of-the-art equipment that meets the highest quality and safety requirements. Provide \\u201cup to date\\u201d engineering advice and support and assist in the development and improvement of structural engineering working methods, tools and equipment.

\\nWe are looking for a pragmatic and solution-oriented engineer with an eye to safety. In the role of senior structural engineer, you will be able to rely on your technical affinity and experience to make a stable contribution to our team. You understand the dynamics of the contracting world, you are a team player who finds it easy to switch between the client, the crew of a vessel, external stakeholders and colleagues.</p>

\\nYour responsibilities</strong></p>

Prepare reports with design an verification calculations for all structural works within Scope, Budget and Schedule;</li>
Develop various concepts for design and advice on the most suitable solution for the problem;</li>
Verification of drawings to ensure that these match with engineering performed;</li>
Initiate and document good engineering practices, tools and departmental standards;</li>
First point of contact during construction and fabrication of the designed items;</li>
Managing design and verification works at subcontractor engineering firms;</li>
Perform as mentor for Medior and Junior Engineers.</li>

Your Typical Deliverables: Seafastening analyses, Global Hull Analyses, Lifting point verification, Global strength verifications of vessels, Jackets and Topsides, On Bottom Stability analyses, Strongpoint verifications, Deck load diagrams etc.</li></ul>
Your qualities and experience</strong></p>
You can move ahead as a senior structural engineer if you have:</li>
Recognized MSc or BSc Degree in Marine, Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering</li>
10+ years of experience engineering in the Offshore field, Practical Offshore experience</li>
Extensive knowledge of Class rules for vessels (LR, BV, ABS), offshore structures (DNV, API) and Operational guidelines (DNVGL) used by MWS</li>
Able to write Basis of Design, Design Briefs and specifications</li>
Strong insight on constructability</li>
Well versed in at least 2 FEA packages preferably ANSYS, FEMAP, SACS and Mathcad</li>
A good command of spoken English and academic reporting skills.</li></ul>
