Within the legal department of Royal IHC’s head office in the Netherlands we have an opening for a Paralegal with solid knowledge of corporate law and an equal amount of hands-on experience.

The paralegal will assist the Legal Department, reporting to the General Counsel and performing all required tasks in the areas of corporate legal affairs, board assistance, finance law and any other legal tasks as required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the corporate housekeeping, filing requirements and various signing process for the worldwide entities of Royal IHC.
  • Drafting of corporate documents (e.g. resolutions, powers of attorney, agreements).
  • Communicating with external advisors on corporate housekeeping and transaction documents.
  • Maintaining the legal corporate and contracting database (Legisway).
  • Maintaining and improving standard template (corporate) documents.
  • Support finance related agreements and processes such as treasury and tax
  • Managing all invoicing for all legal suppliers.
  • Managing all sales supplier questionnaires/KYC forms for the commercial functions.
  • Drafting and managing agency agreements.
  • Conduct administrative tasks and any other tasks for the General Counsel, Company Secretary and Legal team.

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in an in-house legal position or at a law firm (preferably in an international setting).
  • An academic education in Dutch law.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • In depth knowledge of and experience with corporate law.
  • Strong ability to demonstrate legal innovative skills in documents and problem solving.
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly grasp the often versatile complexities of projects.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of seniority within the business.
  • A positive attitude, can-do mentality and a flexible, results-orientated approach.
  • An eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • A team player approach.

Selection process:

After your application, there will first be a short phone call with the Corporate Recruiter. Subsequently, the selection procedure consists of two rounds of interviews. The first interview will be with the manager and a direct colleague. During the second interview, a manager from a different department and someone from HR will join. If everyone is enthusiastic, a phone call follows to discuss the terms of employment.
