Waste generation is exceeding population growth. We as Umincorp (Urban MINing CORPoration) believe this ever growing flow should be used as a rich mine. It’s our aim to convert waste into a source of valuable raw materials. With our innovative technique we create economic circularity of plastics by turning plastic waste into high quality polymers. In 2016, the world generated 242 million tons of plastic waste, 12 percent of all municipal solid waste. Compared to conventional mining, urban mining saves energy, reduces CO2 emissions, decreases the impact of rising resource prices and avoids many negative environmental impacts.
