The African Foundation for International Law (AFIL) is an NGO established in 2003 in The Hague, dedicated to promoting the study, research, and analysis of international legal matters relevant to African countries. It fosters the teaching and dissemination of international law in Africa, encourages intellectual debate on legal issues pertinent to Africa, and aims to build networks among African international lawyers and scholars globally. AFIL actively contributes to the promotion of the rule of law in Africa, positioning itself as a key player in the development of international law on the continent.
