As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving both strategic initiatives and operational excellence for Germany, ensuring seamless execution of employee and labor relations (ER/LR) strategies, particularly in your engagement with workers' councils. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Advisory: Act as an advisor to management on labor relations topics, helping navigate negotiations, consultations, and works council interactions that align with organizational objectives.
- Administrative support: Maintain accurate records of agreements and key discussions between the company and employee representatives. Coordinate ER meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation. Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for use in discussions and negotiations.
- Policy Development: Partner with HR teams to shape, implement, and continuously improve policies that drive positive employee relations, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices across the North Europe Continent Area.
- Works Council Engagement: Lead and support structured dialogues with workers’ councils, managing negotiations and preparing company agreements.
- Strategic Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies that enhance transparency and trust between management, workers councils and employees, ensuring smooth implementation of change initiatives.
- Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to employee relations projects, such as workforce transitions, organizational change initiatives, or policy standardization across multiple regions.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, and external legal advisors.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources. Minimum of 3 years expertise in employee and labor relations in Germany, preferably within a multinational environment
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of aligning employee relations initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Ability to maneuver a multi layered matrix organization.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Strong communication skills, able to navigate sensitive conversations with tact and influence key stakeholders.
