Job Description

Are you a student who is interested in translating your skills into a career in marketing communications? Our team is looking for someone with knowledge, experience or passion for marketing communications to make a mark in business-to-business (B2B) marketing projects.

As an intern at Avery Dennison, you’d be using your talent and insights to assist with the full lifecycle of projects. From planning, to monitoring progress, launching web pages, running email and social promotions, to measuring results.

The topics you’ll work around will be varied, as Avery Dennison provides labels and packaging for many industries. However, a red thread running through everything is our pledge to be a highly sustainable company and a big part of your creativity would be put towards helping us spread the word about eco-friendly options for packaging design.

To do this, you’ll be working closely with a team of specialists in communications, digital marketing, event management, content, and design who are based at the European headquarters in Oegstgeest. We’re a friendly, international group who would be happy to share our experience and help you navigate the wide variety of career paths that creative marketing has to offer.

Your tasks

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing supporting materials (brochures, e-mails, webpages, LinkedIn posts, and other collateral) according to brand guidelines
  • Support with the development of internal and external events (live and virtual)
  • Support management with incoming requests related to corporate visual identity, advertising or any other MarCom issues coming from our European offices
  • Create internal/external collateral exposition for stakeholders
  • Coordinate social media campaign traffic, including monitoring, campaign planning, design and evaluation
  • Join the team in creative brainstorming for a diverse range of projects
  • Execute social media channels management
  • Execute web content management

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and creative thinkers and who are:

  • Enrolled at a Dutch university following a Bachelor or Master degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Studies or other related fields of study
  • Fluent in writing and speaking in English, other languages are a plus
  • Good knowledge of Google Slides, Sheets and Docs
  • Team-players, customer focused and have good project management skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and adapt easily and quickly to changes in a highly international environment
  • Eager to learn, proactive and enthusiastic personality

The preferred start date is the January 15th, 2025 and the ideal candidate is available for​ ​5​ ​days​ a week and for​ ​6​ ​months​.This internship is an on-the-job work experience, and does not allow for a thesis or research project. The location of the position is our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The internship can be done remotely up to 2 days per week.
