Piping Engineers

Are you an Engineer with experience in designing, installing and maintenance of piping systems for offshore facilities?

For one of our clients providing innovative offshore solutions, we are looking for a Piping Engineer to contribute to the success of offshore projects by applying expertise in piping design, engineering, and coordination.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Utilise your expertise in piping design and engineering to develop detailed plans and specifications for piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate materials for piping systems, considering factors such as corrosion resistance, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Participate in the evaluation and qualification of suppliers.
• Design efficient and optimised piping layouts, considering factors such as space constraints, system functionality, and maintenance requirements. Develop routing plans, support structures, and ensure coordination with other disciplines.
• Perform pipe stress analysis using software tools and manual calculations to ensure piping systems can withstand operational loads, pressures, and thermal expansion. Mitigate potential risks by proposing design modifications or additional supports as necessary.
• Prepare and review technical documents including piping specifications, material datasheets, piping isometrics, and fabrication drawings. Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for procurement, construction, and maintenance purposes.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the piping design, fabrication, and installation processes. Participate in quality inspections, audits, and testing to verify adherence to specifications and project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Process Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Project Managers, to ensure seamless integration of piping systems with other components. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to address technical queries and resolve design-related issues.
• Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of projects. Participate in site visits, inspections, and testing activities to verify the proper implementation of piping designs and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of piping design codes, standards, and practices.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or equivalent.
• Experience in pipe stress analysis using tools like Caesar !! or similar software.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software for piping design and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
