Profile Planning Engineer

Are you a results-driven professional with a strong background in project planning? Are you looking to leverage your planning expertise in a challenging role?

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to create and manage project schedules, coordinate planning activities, and keep stakeholders informed about project status and forecasts, with a focus on the offshore industry.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project planning activities for complex projects and work scopes.
  • Translate proposal schedules into detailed project schedules.
  • Initiate and manage onshore scope planning, coordinating input from various disciplines, foreign offices, and subcontractors.
  • Issue and review initial schedules internally for approval.
  • Create high-profile reports, including project bar charts, histograms, S-curves, and Earned Value reports.
  • Maintain project schedules, gather progress data, and update forecasts.
  • Report project status to the project team, management, and clients regularly.
  • Synchronise project timings and durations with seasonal schedule planners.
  • Liaise with the Project Cost Controller to share project information.
  • Develop project scenarios, offshore schedules, and mobilisation plans.
  • Set up and track CAPEX and R&M schedules, including port-call and docking activities.
  • Assist in maintaining the Daily Progress Report database system.
  • Support the development of integrated resource planning systems and Earned Value management reports.

Requirements Planning Engineer

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project planning within an offshore/marine environment.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Understanding of project management structures, network planning, resource planning, and Earned Value management.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven results-driven track record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
