We are looking for a Coating Engineer to select, apply, and ensure the quality of protective coatings on offshore structures to prevent corrosion and enhance durability, complying with industry standards and project requirements.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Select appropriate protective coatings for offshore structures to ensure durability and prevent corrosion.
- Develop and review coating specifications, procedures, and standards for projects.
- Oversee the application of coatings to ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess coating requirements for specific offshore structures.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure proper application and performance of coatings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during coating activities.
- Provide technical support and expertise to project teams regarding coating materials, methods, and solutions.
- Review and approve contractor work related to surface preparation, coating application, and quality assurance.
- Ensure that coating systems meet the design and longevity criteria required for offshore environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to coating application or performance.
Requirements Coating Engineer
- Degree in Engineering or related field, with specialisation in coatings or corrosion protection.
- Proven experience in selecting and applying protective coatings in the offshore energy or marine industry.
- In-depth knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
- Familiarity with industry standards, and regulations related to protective coatings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough inspections and quality control assessments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Experience with corrosion prevention techniques and materials used in offshore environments.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as required for project sire inspections and support.
