We are looking for a Structural Hull Lead Engineer to lead a team in designing and analysing hull structures for FPSO projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, compliance with industry standards, and collaboration across disciplines.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Structural Hull team, including engineers and designers to deliver high-quality structural design and analysis.
- Oversee structural design of new-build hulls and tanker conversions for FPSO projects.
- Provide support to technology development by contributing to new products and technologies for FPSO and renewable product lines.
- Assist the vessel acquisition team in selecting donor tankers for conversion into FPSO.
- Support brownfield projects by providing structural design and engineering expertise.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address challenges, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budget.
- Review and approve design calculations technical drawings, and other documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, procurement construction, classification societies, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and classification society rules (ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds).
- Provide technical guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Represent the Structural Hull discipline in client meetings and presentations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and methodologies within the discipline.
Requirements Structural Hull Lead Engineer
- Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent certification) in Offshore Structures or Naval Architecture with a specialisation in structural analysis of floating structures.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in floating structural design, including 4 years in a leadership role.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the design process for floating structures, from conceptual design to construction.
- Extensive experience in the structural analysis of global and local hull structures.
- Familiarity with classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds).
- Experience in the engineering and design of floating units in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, such as mooring structure integrations, topside integrations, and other equipment integrations.
- Preferable experience with ABS hull software ISE/TSA and finite element software FEMAP.
- Preferable experience in FPSO life extension projects.
- Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
