We are looking for a Telecommunication Lead Engineer to design, manage, and integrate telecommunication systems for offshore projects. In this role, you will ensure alignment with regulatory standards, client requirements, and project specifications while leading a team to deliver high-quality telecom solutions.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop project-specific telecom system designs and associated documentation, including philosophies, layouts, specifications, block diagrams, and calculations.
- Serve as the package engineer for telecom packages, coordinating closely with the Supply Chain to conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Lead and oversee the Telecom team, managing communication flow to remote teams and Telecom Integrators for deliverables like layouts, cable block diagrams, termination diagrams, loop diagrams, and bulk MTOs.
- Ensure the telecom system design considers cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
- Review vendor data to ensure proper integration and interfacing of sub-systems within the telecom system.
- Align telecom interfaces with other project disciplines, maintaining consistency and quality across documents from sub-contractors.
- Ensure that telecom system designs adhere to regulatory, classification, and client requirements.
- Actively contribute feedback to Group[ Technical Standards, supporting continuous improvement and competitiveness in technical solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in offshore and shipbuilding industries.
- Train and mentor junior telecom engineers, sharing technical insights and fostering development.
- Participate in and drive improvements in engineering methods.
Requirements Telecommunication Lead Engineer
- Bachelor's or Technical College degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in telecom systems design in the offshore oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience with package interfaces and managing remote teams.
- Skilled in telecommunication systems for marine applications, with competence in telecom design for hazardous areas (e.g., IECEx001).
- Proficiency in telecom systems typically used in FPSOs, including:
- VSAT
- PAGA
- Telephone systems (PABX & VoIP).
- LAN/WIFI/4G LTE
- Navigational equipment
- GMDSS
- Metocean monitoring.
- Radio systems (UHF, VHF Marine & Aeronautical)
- CCTV
- Entertainment (TVRO)
- Tanker berthing
- FPSO positioning
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Professional communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Team-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of safety and ability to work across discipline boundaries.
