We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of instrumentation systems for offshore energy projects. In this role, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, oversee system integration, and support the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Lead the design, selection, and specification of instrumentation systems for offshore facilities, including FPSOs and floating energy solutions.
- Develop and review instrumentation and control philosophies, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API) and project-specific requirements.
- Provide technical guidance during the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Interface with vendors to evaluate instrumentation equipment and ensure technical suitability.
- Perform technical bid evaluations, vendor documentation reviews, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
- Support installation, troubleshooting, and integration of field instruments, safety systems, and control devices.
- Lead risk assessments, HAZOPs, and SIL verification for instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and process engineering.
- Implement lessons learned and best practices to optimise instrumentation design and performance.
Requirements Senior Instrumentation Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in the offshore oil & gas or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of field instrumentation, control systems, and safety instrumentation.
- Experience with process automation systems, DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (IEC, ISA< API, ATEX, SIL).
- Proficiency in instrumentation design tools and database systems.
- Experience working with EPC projects, from FEED to commissioning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, FATs, and offshore assignments when required.
