MS&T Process Expert

The Position

As MS&T process expert you contribute to the optimization and improvement of the plant by active participation in improvement teams, acting as trouble-shooter, and executing feasibility studies and projects. To support the Production team and Technology team with Process knowledge and Process Control topics.

The main activities and responsibilities

• Continuously improve production processes in relation to variable cost, output, SHE and quality.
• Lead, support and advise on both direct problem solving, as well as on measures to prevent future disturbances.
• Troubleshoot in case of (bio)chemical / specification problems during production.
• Increase levels of user knowledge by supporting training of production personnel.
• Participating in safety studies and execution of follow up actions.
• Execute feasibility studies on plant problems, opportunities, impact of new products, technological innovations, changing laws and regulations, etc.
• Execute defined SHE and Q policies, in compliance with Corporate Requirements and relevant laws and regulations.
• Support Process Control Engineer and Senior MS&T process expert.
• Comply to the company, SHE&Q and security regulations; signal unsafe situations, (near) incidents, environmental, quality and security risks; address others to comply with the regulations to prevent unsafe behaviour.
• Steering and coaching of operators with technology responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate

• BSc/MSc in Chemistry / Biotechnology and chemical engineering.
• Preferably several years of experience in working with/in production environment.
• Bio-processes and production unit operations and manufacturing equipment.
• Acquainted with continuous improvement techniques (lean six sigma, green belt level).
• Data analysis techniques, Root Cause Analysis, tools and application.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• GMP operational knowledge a plus.
• Good communication and social skills.
• Advisory skills.
