Your role in our team
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll focus on the design, integration, and management of complex systems. Your role is to guide and mentor product owners and junior Java developers, ensuring they excel in the following core responsibilities:
• Requirements Analysis: You will deeply understand and meticulously document critical requirements for Galileo ground systems. Your insights will be pivotal in driving the success of these systems.
• System Design & Architecture: You'll work on developing system blueprints that prioritize reliability and safety. Your expertise will shape the foundation of these complex systems.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks will be part of your daily routine. Your strategic thinking will safeguard the robustness of the systems.
• System Integration & Testing: You will ensure that all system components function correctly and reliably. Rigorous testing and evaluation are essential to meet the highest standards.

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned Systems Engineer with a strong background in complex systems. Here's how you'll make an impact:
• You have a proven track record in systems engineering, with a focus on complex systems.
• Your ability to mentor and coach product owners and junior developers sets you apart.
• You excel in requirements analysis, ensuring that complex system requirements are fully understood and documented.
• System design and architecture are your forte, and you have a knack for creating blueprints that prioritize reliability and safety.
• Risk management is second nature to you. You can identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• System integration and testing are in your wheelhouse. You ensure that all components function correctly and reliably under various scenarios.
• Your educational background is solid, with a focus on Information Technology or a related field. Alternatively, you have a wealth of hands-on experience that demonstrates an equivalent working level.
• You come to the table with more than 5 years of experience as a System Engineer.
• If you have experience with GSWS standards or their equivalents, it's a definite advantage. It shows you're ready to hit the ground running.
Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance at the CONFIDENTIAL level, which is a part of our selection process.
