Damen Digital Solutions is indispensable in the realization of Damen’s ambition to become the most sustainable and digitally connected shipyard in the world. We are an independent startup company within the Damen Group, with a multidisciplinary team of 30 enthusiastic people, enjoying innovations.

Damen Digital Solutions is focused on data driven software solutions which support shipowners in operating their ships, support their sustainability programs and give valuable insights in vessel emissions, performance and maintenance status.

By using Damen Triton to analyze current operations and reporting performances we give insights in subjects as fuel consumption, emissions, route optimalisation and more. This way we can support the ship owners making their fleet more sustainable and profitable.

The role

Be the personal connection between our digital solutions and Damen Triton users.

As a Customer Success Coordinator, you will focus on clients of Damen Digital Solutions, internal Damen customers, and specifically all Damen Triton users. Your responsibilities will include supporting users in configuring Damen Triton to meet their needs, explaining Damen Triton through training and introduction sessions, and organizing feedback loops with our sales and development teams. You will play a central role in the Damen Triton user experience by providing broad support to clients.

You will act as the link between technical development teams, project managers, sales managers, and customers. You thrive on taking the initiative to improve our customer support activities. As a Customer Success Coordinator, you should excel in communication and relationship management. While it’s good to have an interest in digitalization, ICT, and the shipping industry, your communication skills are the most important.

The digital revolution is reshaping industries, including shipping. In shipping, digitalization and the use of data has a huge impact. Rapidly developing disciplines like artificial intelligence, measurement technology and data science are essential for Damen to stay ahead of the competition and create more business value. Damen Digital Solutions, a Damen company with a focus on added value from data, is maturely expanding during the upcoming years to secure the connection with shipowners and support them by data driven solutions.

Damen Digital Solutions makes data applicable to her stakeholders by making validated knowledge available and enabling ship efficiency, design improvements, operational improvements and much more by means of tools, data and data analytics. The company will take a leading role on three technical knowledge pillars; informatics and computer science, measurement technology and data analytics and -science, by developing and applying state-of-the-art know-how. This know-how is presented to customers via the online platform called Damen Triton.

Key accountabilities

In this role you will be:

  • Organizing and executing configuration and introduction meetings with customers;
  • Setting up feedback loops with customers and our technical teams;
  • Building customer relations by supporting them in using and configuring our digital products;
  • Determining customer requirements and relating these to the Damen Digital Product Portfolio;
  • Increasing retention rates on Damen Triton services;
  • Setting up and (partly) executing training & education methods for customers;
  • Supporting our marketing team in effective communication and promotion activities;
  • Control the subscription planning and status via our ERP tooling.

Skills & experience

In order to be successful you bring:

  • A Bachelor degree in communications / marketing;
  • 1-5 years of experience with a foundational understanding of the business context to tackle the core issues and satisfy customer needs;
  • A good understanding of data platforms and digital products and services;
  • An interest and understanding of the maritime industry and various ship operations;
  • The ability to educate and motivate customers in their digitalization journey;
  • The ability to translate customer needs to existing solutions;
  • Excellent team collaboration capabilities. A curious and proactive attitude towards problem-solving and eager to take responsibility;
  • A growth mindset with a keen interest in continuous development and learning.
