About us
The Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) consists of approximately 40 people and is responsible for the financial administration of a large number of entities within the Damen group.
In addition, the FSSC is responsible for preparation of the annual accounts, periodic internal and external reports and cash flow forecasts. In order to safeguard all of this, we contribute as a department to the further development, improvement and optimization of our internal control framework.
The role
Within the Finance Shared Service Center, the Accounting & Reporting department consists of (junior) financial controllers and GL Administrators, responsible for the administration and reporting of the larger, mostly operational, Damen entities.
For our team, we are looking for a Financial Controller who is ready for a second or third career step. In this role, you will focus on preparing and executing the periodical closings and, as a business partner, you will actively provide support in drawing up analyses and reports for one or more of our divisions/entities. In addition, in this role, you will provide input for improving the administrative organization related to report development and process improvements. And you will also guide the less experienced colleagues with their development.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the month-end closing, monthly and annual financial reporting process;
- Supporting and coordinating internal and external audits;
- Analysing, assessing and controling the financial data;
- Analysing and subsequently advicing on the administrative organization and internal control framework;
- Preparing annual reports and analysis in accordance with the applicable financial guidelines;
- Advicing the divisional financial teams;
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor/Master degree in Business Economics, Accounting or Finance;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (accounting, reporting etc.);
- Driven, ambitious and engaged;
- Team player: flexible and able to work in a team within a dynamic work environment
- Solid knowledge of and experienced with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Knowledge and experience with SAP (or familiar ERP).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- You are available for 32 to 40 hours a week
