As an (assistant) financial controller, you ensure that the financial results are
accurate so that the analyses and advice prepared internally and/or in
collaboration with the business controller and Global Financial Service (GFS)
contribute to insights for management to improve performance. As Finance,
we act as a full-fledged business partner for our (internal) business. You will do
this from our offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Utrecht, and also from
home.

  • prepare cross-business (ad hoc) reports with high-quality analyses and advice;
  • serve as an intermediary between Global Finance Service (GFS) and Business Control with the goal of having reports and analyses executed as much as possible by GFS;
  • support planning and forecasting processes;
  • monitor corporate finances (cost accounting/controlling) to ensure smooth control;
  • advise and act as a business partner to management and key stakeholders, in the absence of Business Controllers, regarding financial processes;
  • participate in, or lead (financial) projects aimed at process improvements.

Additionally, as an (Assistant) Financial Controller, you have:
  • a completed university or bachelor's degree in Finance (Business Economics/Accountancy)
  • 3 - 8 years of relevant work experience in a management accounting or (business) controller role;
  • excellent command of the English language;
  • knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Note: Candidates have to be residing in The Netherlands, since we don't offer relocation for this position.
