Job description

We offer a position for several years in kidney research. This position is part of an ERC Consolidator Grant. You will coordinate the studies in this grant together with the principal investigator. The aim of the grant is to identify novel urinary biomarkers for kidney disease through studies in tubuloids and extracellular vesicles. We expect this postdoc to be the ideal stepping stone towards the development of an independent research career.

Qualifications and skills

  • You have a completed MSc and PhD in on the life sciences.
  • You have experience in wet lab research (preferably organoids, extracellular vesicles, proteomics or bioinformatics).
  • You have affinity with translational research.
  • You have the ability to supervise PhD students and technicians.

Terms of employment

  • You will receive a contract for a multi-year period.
  • The gross monthly salary amounts a maximum of € 5.292,- (scale 10), depending on your level of education and relevant experience, based on a full-time working week of 36 hours.
  • Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a individual travel expense package.
  • Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
  • Special benefits, such as a incompany physiotherapist and bicycle repairer. And there is also a gym where you can work on your fitness after work.
