Your role
As the manager of the Regulatory Risk Management & Reporting team (RRMR), you will lead a team of 16 internal employees and arrange temporary external support in your domain. You ensure alignment between the organization’s mission, 2030 Strategy, and the Risk department goals.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the department’s strategy and yearly business plan as a member of the Risk department management team.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, foster collaboration across teams, and represent risk in management meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, in particular concerning timely and correct supervisory reporting.
- Anticipating and ensuring implementation of new/amended regulations and continuous optimization regarding the reporting process. Ensure sufficient support within the organization to achieve this.
- Leading the RRMR team by setting ambitious yet feasible goals for their professional and personal development, while safeguarding their well-being.
- Finally, you will pro-actively contribute to the broader Leadership team of FMO.
You will report directly to the Director of Risk.

- Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 140K-155K (including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month), depending on your seniority, years of relevant (managerial) experience, and background.

Your team
The RRMR team comprises 16 internal and dedicated professionals from diverse international backgrounds, ranging from junior to senior levels. Also, the team is supported by approx. 5 temporary externals. Our department’s mission is to support and protect the organization, ensuring long-term financial stability while enabling innovative business initiatives. The team is responsible for various activities, including:
- Prudential and statistical reporting to DNB (e.g., Corep, LCR, NSFR, LE, Anacredit, etc) and select internal reporting.
- Horizon scanning with respect to new and amended regulations.
- Supervisory relationship management with DNB.
- Assessing and implementing new/amended regulations, such as Basel IV, supports the organization’s strategy.
- Providing internal advice regarding new business propositions and on the prudential and sustainable finance regulatory risk framework within FMO.
- Technical implementation and optimization of the regulatory reporting stream through the Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
Your background
The ideal candidate will have:
- A master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field of expertise.
- 10+ years of experience within a bank or the financial services industry, of which at least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in an internationally focused banking institution.
- A solid understanding of the Dutch and European regulatory framework, and particularly the relationship with DNB.
- Demonstrated experience in managing regulatory compliance and supervisory reporting, regulatory change implementation, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
- A self-starting, pro-active, and result-oriented approach.
