Job Description

For our office in Nootdorp we are currently looking for a Junior Wireline Logging Engineer to join our Client Deliverables Department.

As a Junior Wireline Logging Engineer you work on site characterisation and foundation engineering for structures in or on the seabed, such as offshore wind turbine generators, intercontinental infrastructure or offshore platforms. Projects are focused on marine sites in Europe and Asia and mainly involve geotechnical site investigations which include borehole geophysical (wireline) logging. In this varied role you provide high-quality ground characterisation under sometimes demanding offshore conditions. Our company is the perfect place if you like to combine field work with in-office reporting and engineering analyses.

Your role

  • You work both offshore and in the office on a wide range of projects with variety in character, scale and complexity;

  • You perform offshore work (approximately 120 days per year) where you execute and are responsible for the borehole geophysical logging scope;

  • You provide support to the offshore geotechnical team by performing site laboratory and in situ tests and collect and process soil and/or rock samples;

  • You evaluate test results, perform engineering analyses and compile all results into high-quality reports for our clients.

Your track record

  • You have a BSc. or MSc. degree in e.g. Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Physics or related discipline;

  • You are analytical, have strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on mentality;

  • You have good communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English;

  • You preferably have knowledge of borehole geophysical logging, but this is not required.
