Job Description

For our Geophysical workshop, supporting equipment preparations and mobilisations for offshore survey work, we are looking for a Geophysics Workshop Technician, based in Nootdorp – The Netherlands.

In this role you assist mobilisation leaders as required, on all survey types, but mainly for seismic systems and UXO equipment. Next to mobilisation support you assist in equipment preparation and testing, SAT reports, calibrations, packaging paperwork etc.

Your role

  • You are responsible for workshop preparations, maintenance and testing of equipment;

  • You prepare equipment for shipments and associated paperwork;

  • You take care of support for survey activities during mobilisations (primarily for seismic work) i.e. on vessels mobilising seismic positioning systems;

  • You assist in development and improvements for survey equipment and processes;

  • You provide remote support to offshore survey teams;

  • You work closely with Fugro technical support and software developers on behalf of the geophysical business line.

What you bring along

  • You have a mbo level education (Electronics Engineering or equivalent);

  • You have working experience in a similar role;

  • You are service oriented, have a problem-solving mindset and strive for delivery excellence;

  • You enjoy working in a team and have good communication skills in English and Dutch (verbal and written).
