Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) or robotics to join our innovative team. Fugro, as the leading Geo-data provider, is on a journey to accelerate integrated data acquisition using remotely controlled robots with a wide variety of sensors being deployed at sea, on land or in the air.
As electronics design engineer you are responsible for the design, integration and testing of electronic circuits and systems in our eROV’s. Where possible, you also develop the (embedded) software code to control the systems.
You find yourself in a multidisciplinary team consisting of multiple nationalities. You work closely with the Team Lead and Engineering manager to ensure high performance and reliability for the product.

Your role
Design and develop electrical systems and components for ROVs;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software systems;
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality and performance;
Prepare technical documentation and specifications for electrical designs;
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in ROV technology;
Ensure the reliability, robustness and future proofing of all electrical design work related to eROV.
Your track record
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field;
You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience;
Proven experience in electrical design, specifically for ROVs or Robotics;
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution;
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders.
