Lecturer in Human Resource Management (0.8-1 FTE)

General function description

  • You will teach, coach and assess both Dutch and international students in Human Resource Management
  • Areas of focus within Human Resource Management are ranging from fundamentals, to the human side of Change Management, to modeling Human Resource situations to advising on Human Resource Science within business projects and the innovations in Human Resource Management for the sector
  • You will be improving courses that are closely linked to real-world (hospitality)management practices
  • You are a professional and motivating lecturer and coach who can encourage young adults to achieve excellence
  • You are flexible and an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute towards the university’s success
  • You feel at home in an English-speaking dynamic and international academic environment

Candidate profile

You have/are:

  • a Master’s degree
  • a minimum of 6 years work experience in human resource management within an international environment
  • several years of teaching experience or proven affinity with teaching
  • analytical and conceptual skills
  • an excellent command of the English language (C1-level)
  • good social and communication skills
  • an ability to work independently with a proactive attitude towards problem solving
  • insight into and knowledge of current developments in management is a plus as is
    management experience as well as knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • an enthusiastic approach to education with an emphasis on coaching students to deal with real-world professional assignments

Remuneration

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 11 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between€ 4,535.76 and € 6,359.47 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

In addition, Hotelschool The Hague offers:

Additional information

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.

The work location for this position can be either our Campus in Amsterdam and/ or Campus The Hague.
