Alumni Engagement Officer (1 FTE)

In the position of Alumni Engagement Officer, you are part of the Industry Relations team, consisting of Industry Relations, Alumni Relations, Student Recruitment, and Account Management. You will be responsible for both alumni engagement and student recruitment activities, ensuring synergy between these two vital functions. Your role involves maintaining and growing the alumni network, innovating engagement strategies, and actively recruiting prospective students to HTH’s programmes.
General function description
- You are responsible for maintaining and growing the HTH Alumni Platform.
- You collect and create relevant written and visual content for the platform that resonates with the alumni community.
- You develop an alumni engagement plan by implementing innovative initiatives that strengthen alumni relationships and promote alma mater pride. (Such as newsletters, online workshops/networking sessions etc.)
- You organize online and offline alumni meetups in strategically important destinations.
- You support Alumni Chapter growth by assisting with the coordination of alumni led initiatives.
- You are responsible for answering incoming questions related to the Alumni Platform.
- You collaborate with SMC to provide alumni-driven content for marketing campaigns, such as success stories and testimonials.
- You enhance recruitment activities by taking charge of “lead conversion” communications.
- You coordinate internal stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with key departments, including Marketing, to ensure impactful communication strategies.
- You plan and coordinate recruitment-focused (online) events aimed at information sharing and student conversion, including, but not limited to; Online discovery sessions, application Q&A’s, Selection tips & tricks, Hotello for a Day events and pre-arrival sessions.
- You coordinate and support with alumni outreach of other departments within HTH such as, but not limited to, Selection Committee, Placement Office & BA course coordinators. (Business inspiration days, Future of Food)
- You develop and execute innovative communication tools as part of the pre-arrival journey within the Recruitment process
- You develop and execute “reactive sales” related activities for the Recruitment Team by means of but not limited to on-campus events such as Open Days and Counselor fly-ins when required.
- You support the Recruitment department by means of initiating and executing proactive Sales activities Internationally (willing to travel Internationally)
- You monitor and evaluate the rollout process of alumni engagement initiatives and report progress to the Director of Industry Relations.
- You prepare data reports on recruitment conversion and alumni engagement, including year-over-year comparisons and trend analysis.
Candidate profile
You have/are:
- One to five years of relevant work experience (preferably in marketing or communication)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational & event management skills
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
- Affinity with hospitality and education
- Familiar with Hotelschool the Hague and its community
- Service oriented and result-driven with high energy level
- Hands-on with a can-do mentality
Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 9 of the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between €3.609,94 and € 4.909,21 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Additional information
Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.

This position is a combination of remote and working at both our campuses.
