This is the role

The finance organization plays a pivotal role in strategic decision-making, providing critical data and insights. It develops comprehensive financial plans, aligning with the company’s strategic objectives. By analyzing market trends and historical data, it predicts future financial outcomes. Regular financial reports provide stakeholders with an accurate picture of the company’s financial health. The finance team scrutinizes every aspect of the financial statements to understand what’s driving the numbers. It also supports the business in other financial matters such as tax planning, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. In essence, it serves as a strategic partner to the business, driving growth and profitability.


Responsibilities
• Support the manager in the preparation of the monthly rolling financial forecast – income statement and working capital – for the business on basis of input from the business and other service functions;
• Analysis of the actual monthly business results and comparison with budget and forecast;
• Monthly reporting of actual business results and analysis to business and finance management;
• Assist in the preparation of the long range financial plan and budget;
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly responsibility fixed cost analysis;
• Liaise with manufacturing/asset optimization for individual production plant cost reporting and margin analysis;
• Provide support in business/ financial presentation preparation for senior management;
• Support business, segment and finance management in accounting and other financial matters with respect to the business.

• Ability to work independently and solve non-recurring problems and drive continuous process improvements and exhibit strong analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills;
• Ability to assert innovation and creativity to improve business and functional processes and reporting whilst adhering to a strong control environment;
• Attention to detail to ensure accounting and financial information is timely, accurate and complete;
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities (multiple tasks) and support business unit management with sound business and financial counsel while constantly challenging to drive the team to optimize results and add value;
• Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Roles & Responsibilities

This is what you bring

• University-level Business Economics / Finance-related qualifications;
• 3-6 years of business/financial controlling and management reporting experience are preferred;
• Strong analytical, evaluation and judgment skills;
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and achieve results through the contributions of other people within and outside the immediate organization;
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
• Advanced PC skills, including spreadsheets, database, graphics, statistical forecasting and modeling;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in SAP and business warehouse is necessary;
• Fluency in English is a must and any other language is a plus.
