This is the role

This role is positioned in our European Headquarter in Rotterdam providing People and Culture support to our regional European organization which is aimed to shape our future by creating solutions for everyday sustainable living. The HR Business Partner will support our Finance, Legal and Sustainability & Corporate Communications organizations.

People and Culture plays a crucial role in the success of the business. What are the company’s current and future needs in order to stay competitive? How does the talent of the future look like and how can we attract them? How can we adapt to changing market situations and add value to today’s business and the long-term strategy? What is the right people strategy for today’s workforce and the challenges of tomorrow? These are questions we must ask ourselves daily, and that’s where you come in.

As a HR Business Partner at LyondellBasell you are the link between the needs of the business and the delivery of People and Culture support. Across the European region, with a focus on our Rotterdam organization, you will serve as an advisor, counsel, and confidante to the Business Leaders and their respective organizations. Your goal: driving and supporting the operational and tactical human resources activities to develop high-value capabilities across the business and geographies.

Besides acting as a trusted business partner to the Business Leaders you work closely with the appropriate People and Culture peers on key initiatives that will drive operational efficiency and improve overall quality. Topics you will be busy with are supporting talent management and recruitment processes, supporting leadership in HR related projects / topics in the organization and change management.

This is what you bring

• Bachelor or Master degree with a preference in Business Administration or Human Resources Management and;
• Solid HR fundamentals and experience in HR (minimum 5 years), with experience in working within an international organization;
• Knowledge of Dutch social security and Dutch labor legislation;
• Proficiency in the use of HR system solutions (like SuccessFactors) and/or any other related tools, including MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
• While English is the primary language of our company, proficient knowledge of Dutch is also required.
