This is the role

As the Supervisor Product Scheduling I&D PO&D EU you manage the accurate and timely execution of the Product Scheduling process for I&D EU (PO, Glycols, Glycol Ethers, BDO & der., Isobutylene, TBHP & Acetyls). You are the main point of contact for all Product Scheduling I&D PO&D EU related issues. Furthermore you actively participate in actual day to day Product Scheduling activities. This encompasses :

  • production, distribution network and or product replenishment in Europe for a group of I&D PO&D products.
  • Translate the VOP/MSP in an optimized 30 days rolling scheduling plan.
  • Coordinate and monitor execution of this 30 days schedule.
  • Manage inventory by product and location within the targets agreed by business management and operations planning.
  • Maintain relevant supply chain data in SAP for reporting and quick and good decision taking.
  • Coordinate the timeliness execution of the Month End Close and supports both internal and external audits.


You supervise, manage, coach a small group of direct reports within the Product Scheduling I&D PO&D EU group, communicating and supporting in case of issues, people management, reporting, communication and development support. And participate in interdepartmental projects, acting as Subject Matter Expert is a key function for this role as well as the training for new Product Scheduling staff.


Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develops, coaches, leads the Product Scheduling PO&D EU team in order to ensure the team is highly effective; individuals are motivated and positioned to realize their potential through PAD / IDP and training processes and programs.
  • Work with Operations Planning to maximize effectiveness of the monthly operating plan against actual performance and align daily inventory management with OPS inventory targets. Optimize short term operations through 3rd party alignment.
  • Schedule, maintain and communicate short term supply and demand plan with a rolling 4 weeks horizon (daily operations plan) and up to 12 weeks for in- and exports for the European plants and terminal locations.
  • Primary interface with customer service, logistics operations, manufacturing, terminals, tollers, swap partners with regards to short term operating issues and scheduling of liftings. Resolves off spec situation at terminals, customers, tollers, etc.
  • Initiate and monitor intercompany movements to and from terminals and warehouses.
  • Monitor and ensure product quality at load locations and tollers until delivery to customers.
  • Maintain SAP up to date to reflect the activities. This includes : Enter transactions for production, sales, purchase, exchange and tolling orders in SAP and reconcile monthly balance with partners. Reconcile stocks at Month End.
  • Assume a super user / SME role within a process or functional area to increase efficiency and effectiveness of these business processes and / or SAP utilization.
  • Ensures formal governance compliance and company work ethic culture is in place by respecting / adhering to all policies and procedures and proactively “lives” them. Assures team completes mandatory courses in time.
  • In order to improve process efficiency acts as Super User, brings in ideas and shares new processes within Product Scheduling. Proactively performs SAP Test Scenarios.
  • Creates, revises and keeps procedures and work instructions up to date in conjunction with other departments in order to sustain process stability and standardization.
  • Provides training, guidance, and functional expertise as needed to assist and train colleagues in the organization in order to improve performance of colleagues and effectivity of procedures.

This is what you bring

  • University / college degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • IT capabilities (SAP, MS Office)
  • Minimum of 6 years in Supply Chain or similar role
  • Proven skills as Super User within the product scheduling area
  • General knowledge of supply chain and inventory management concepts
  • Experience with INCOTERMS, Supplier Declarations and TAX & VAT rules is preferred
  • English language is required, Dutch and / or French is an advantage
