Job Description:

NIBC is looking for an experienced IT Security Consultant to join the Risk & Security team. In this position, you will be our technical-oriented consultant who can assess, challenge and improve the IT security-related aspects of the digital infrastructure and services of NIBC and its strategic partners. You are a specialist with a clear vision of security and you love to guide your colleagues. Because of your experience, you are a fantastic sparring partner for business stakeholders and other colleagues. Do you like working on a strategic ánd operational level? Great! What will you do?

  • You have an important role in security-related processes like security incident management, vulnerability management and change management.
  • You monitor and challenge (the remediation of) the test findings, spot trends within these findings and point to areas that should be tested.
  • You provide advice for projects and assess solutions to determine whether they are according to our standards/risk profile.
  • You take the lead in the setting up and maintenance of security-related frameworks, procedures and standards.
  • You show a lean-agile mindset in the dynamic IT environment.
  • You engage in security operations meetings with the outsourced IT infrastructure provider and monitor and manage the SOC's service delivery.
  • You keep yourself updated on shifting trends in the security landscape and keep up with innovations that can improve the security posture and roadmap of NIBC.
  • You manage communication with stakeholders from various service providers about security-related issues.
  • You manage communication with stakeholder within the organisation by challenging and advising them on security-related issues.

Your team

You will join the Risk & Security team within the Identity, Risk & Security, Quality Management (IRSQ) department, part of the CTO domain. The current R&S team consists of an expert lead, two security consultants and two risk consultants, each with a different specialisation. We are looking for a result-driven consultant who wants to join us in our aim for quality and high standards. We encourage each other to be bold and transparent. What do you bring?

Our newest colleague is confident, proactive and experienced enough to bring our IT Security maturity to the next level. You enjoy driving change on a strategic level and at the same time collaborate on an operational level to help your colleagues increase our IT security. To be successful in this role we believe you will need:

  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience within an IT Security environment (preferably within the financial sector);
  • Informal leadership skills (coaching and guiding team members)
  • Knowledge of internal controls and security frameworks, like EBA, ISO 2700x and, NIST;
  • Technical knowledge of and experience with technical aspects of information security, such as:

- Best practices (CIS), incident response & forensics,

- Incident response & forensics,

- Security techniques (key and certificate management, anti-virus, malware detection, secure protocols, firewalls),

- Information security processes,

- Infrastructure (on-prem & networking),

- Application design (Web, APIs),

- Penetration testing,

- Vulnerability management,

- SOC;

- Endpoint security;

  • A strong personal integrity and know how to work with classified information;
  • Strong communication skills in English and in Dutch.

You will have an advantage in this role if you have:

  • Security certifications, e.g.: CISSP, CCSP, OSCP/CEH/GPEN;
  • Affinity with IAM and Cloud (Azure);
  • Knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations like DORA.
