Job Description:

As a senior business Analyst you play a key role in our organization. You form a strategic view of our application landscape and proactively start initiatives to keep our application landscape aligned with business and IT strategy. You liaise with senior business and IT stakeholders to keep this up to date with regards to business and IT strategy. You work together with our Application Managers and Salesforce Engineers to keep our application landscape supported and maintained according to Agile principles. You gather and formulate the functional and non-functional requirements of new application solutions and know how to communicate those to different stakeholders. You initiate and coordinate application related initiatives and everyday changes. You are always on the lookout for innovative solutions for achieving the strategic goals of business and IT departments. Furthermore, you:

  • work in a multidisciplinary agile team to continuously gather business requirements, meaning analyze and refine user stories and translate towards technical solutions which are ready for implementation
  • have a clear view on our application landscape and data flows and use that view to manage dependencies in the Retail Banking application landscape and towards downstream domains
  • collaborate with various departments and teams within NIBC; work with our Product Owner, Business Owner(s), Architects and other IT-professionals to keep our landscape aligned with our business and IT strategy
  • mentor the juniors
  • are the go-to person for the latest technology trends and you proactively raise awareness of information technology innovations and digital solutions to the retail business domain.
  • get opportunities to develop or maintain own domain of expertise; technically and product related

Your team

As senior business analyst you are part of the Retail Banking IT team. This team is a multi-disciplinary team that develops and maintains all applications for our Retail Bank (NIBC Direct savings and mortgages). The team consists of business analysts, application managers, data/BI engineers, Salesforce engineers, a service manager and a product owner. Our ambition is to move towards a DevOps team that helps our Retail Bank to select, acquire and develop the applications that will support our customers’ in their decisive moments.

What do you bring?

In order to increase the capacity of our business analysis capability, we are looking for an energetic and flexible business analyst. You bring:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (business analyses) and 2-3 years of banking industry knowlegde
  • Knowledge of designs thinking and setting up workshops
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to come to the core of requirements and to place them into the right context within the total solution
  • Good foundation of IT knowledge. Preferanbly: knowledge of Salesforce (system)
  • Sense of accountability and great communication skills (advising, coaching, presenting)
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively deal with changing expectations or challenges
  • Knowledge of Business Analysis methods and best practices
  • Knowledge of Agile way of working
  • Fluent in Dutch and English - written and verbal
  • A team player attitude that doesn’t mind actively discussing your work with the team.
