Job Description:

NIBC is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join the QA team. In this role you work together with your IT and non-IT colleagues towards your goal: achieving the right quality of our IT products and services according to the requirements. The QA team continually develops and implements best practices to maintain the best quality in the software delivery process. As a QA Specialist, you set an example for everyone regarding quality and accountability. Are you great at making, checking and improving QA standards? Are you able to communicate this efficiently to your (non-)IT colleagues? Then we are looking for you!

What will you do?

  • You help set up test plans, coordinate tests, review test reports and provide release advice based on results while supporting NIBC’s delivery teams in following our quality processes.

  • You develop, design and deliver targeted quality and test training to IT teams and business professionals.

  • You are heavily involved in maturing NIBC’s quality and test tooling, including test management, test data management and test automation tools.

  • You advise and support teams in implementing the new test automation plans at NIBC.

  • You plan and manage the Quality Management team’s backlog.

  • You help maintain and update the Quality Management team's documentation and templates to remain compliant with changing regulatory requirements.

Your team

You will join the Quality Assurance team within the IRSQ (Identity & access management, Risk & Security and Quality management) domain. We divide the various tasks within this team, but we also aim for the ability to cover for each other when necessary. We are looking for a result-driven person who can handle a versatile role and be a good addition to this team. Since we don’t have a large IT department, we need a colleague with a pragmatic approach to Quality Assurance to best fit the team. We have each other’s back when needed and strive to have fun on the job. Humour is an important element of our team culture; we celebrate our successes together.

NIBC as IT employer

NIBC is evolving from a financial service provider to a tech company in banking. We share a forward-thinking, can-do attitude with our clients, which we call our THINK YES mentality. Whenever our business departments identify a market opportunity, NIBC IT has to follow up quickly to satisfy our clients’ needs. IT aims to be one of the driving forces behind the digital transformation of our bank, an ongoing process that will profoundly change the relationship with our clients and how we do business. We are closely connected, have few management levels and short lines of communication. If you have a good idea today, you might be elaborating it yourself tomorrow.

What’s in it for you?

NIBC provides an ambitious environment where we strive to create a fantastic workplace where you feel safe and challenged to be the best version of yourself. You are in the lead of setting the PACE (Professional, Adaptive, Collaborative and Entrepreneurial) of your career at NIBC. In addition to your salary, you receive:

  • Several ways to support your development personally and professionally, a.o.:

  • Personal development budget, to spend at your own discretion

  • Professional budget provided by your manager, to develop yourself in your work

  • NIBC embraces the Hybrid way of Working. This means we support working from home and encouraging our colleagues to come to the office. NIBC's guideline is to spend at least half of the working time at the office

  • Travel expenses or NS Business Card 1st class

  • 32 holidays (which do not have to be registered)

  • Excellent pension scheme (26% NIBC contribution)

  • A voucher to improve your home office

  • The opportunity to take ownership and show initiative in your role. We are always open to new ideas and encourage you to use your voice

  • The nature of our Grow to Make a Difference program enables you to be in charge of your own development

  • Two staff associations: YoungNIBC and MyLeisure

  • Vitality program, annual company-wide sports & leisure days

  • Monthly internet allowance

  • A laptop and a company phone

  • Excellent facilities at the office (Coffee corner, Restaurant, Exchange bar)

  • Finally, a fun workplace in which diversity and inclusion is valued (click here).

What do you bring?

Our newest colleague is quality-minded, technically oriented and has a versatile attitude to bring our Quality Assurance maturity to the next level. With your curiosity, you dive into various aspects of IT, in general, and specifically in quality. You are comfortable in a coordinating role for testing in strategic projects and are willing to operate as a “Scrum master light” for the Quality expertise team. To be successful in this role we believe you will need:

  • 3-5 years experience in either IT quality or testing;

  • Knowledge of JIRA and Cloud (Azure);

  • Experience with test management tooling (such as Azure Test Plan);
