What will you do?
Join us in shaping the future of Business Intelligence at NIBC! We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional in the field of Business Intelligence and PowerBI to contribute to our self-service BI strategy. As NIBC embarks on an exciting data transformation journey, we are committed to modernizing our entire Data & Analytics landscape over the coming years.
This transformation includes the roll-out of a new Power BI architecture and governance strategy on an enterprise level, the standardization of ways of working with Power BI across NIBC, the implementation of Power BI best practices within the BI community, the migration of SAP Business Object into Power BI, and the upskilling of the reporting and analytical capabilities within NIBC Business Units.
In this key specialist role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and contribute to the development of our self-service BI framework. We are seeking an individual who not only possesses a deep understanding of Power BI and its different components, but also has the ability to mentor and guide less experienced colleagues.
- Support on designing a scalable, efficient, reliable, and consistent user-friendly Power BI setup to better generate insights and value to the business;
- Contribute to the development, execution of our self-service BI strategy, ensuring alignment with our organization's objectives and long-term vision;
- Assess and improve existing BI processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness;
- Provide expert guidance and support to less experienced developers, fostering their growth and empowering them to deliver high-quality BI solutions;
- Help in transitioning Excel & SAP BO reporting to PowerBI;
- A pre is knowledge of SAP Business Object, NIBCs current BI tool;
- A pre is knowledge of Databricks.

As the Business Intelligence Specialist, you will together with the BI-team and the other teams identify the next good use cases while constantly bringing value to the bank with new insights and easy-to-grasp visualizations.

What do you bring?
As our Business Intelligence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping business users unlock the full potential of our data. Your success will be measured by the seamless operation and effective management of the Power BI ecosystem within a highly regulated and audited industry. You will also empower stakeholders to independently access and interpret data, sharing your expertise to foster a self service culture.
Your Key Experience:
- Proven experience administering Power BI at an enterprise level;
Strong understanding of Power BI governance principles and architectural solutions;
In-depth expertise as a BI developer/specialist, particularly with Power BI;
Experience in setting development standards and guidelines for other BI developers;
Ability to design clear, effective end-user guidelines;
The candidate will be given an assignment to assess their proficiency in the key skills and requirements outlined above.

- Collaborative team player with the ability to work across departments on cross-functional initiatives;
