About the job

As a Project Manager within our Projects team, you will be organizing and managing operational assignments globally, with a focus on a challenging new territory to Qlayers, the rental business. You will assist with setting up and managing Qlayers’ latest business unit “Qlayers Rental B.V.”. Together with the Business Unit Manager, you will manage rental projects and coordinate internally with the team and externally with our stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. You will also be rolling up your sleeves and go into the field with the coating machine, because this is the best way to get to know our product. You will travel the world to operate and supervise our robots, teach our customers all the ins and outs of the system, and troubleshoot during complex situations.

Your key responsibilities:
At the office
  • Managing rental projects from a contract to cash with our high tech equipment from start to end:
Initiation (Project Charter; Project Initiation)
Definition & Planning (Scope & budget; Method Statement; Risk Management)
Launch or execution (Status & tracking; KPI’s; Quality; Forecasts)
Performance & Control (Objectives; Deliverables; Effort & cost tracking; Performance;
Detailed project administration)
Project Close (Detailed financial administrations; Financial close out; Timely invoicing; Project review;
Technical feedback assessment for Sales / Engineering).
  • Preparation of projects globally at a detailed level and guarding the project overview.
  • Guiding clients with “new territory” requests on assets Qlayers has not coated before to successful pilots.
  • Gain in-depth theoretical & practical knowledge of the Qlayers robotic fleet.
  • Coordinate and process feedback coming from the field, e.g., change/issue requests.
  • Coordinate with the production team on the operational readiness of the 10Q systems.

In field / training facilities globally
  • Travel the globe to train operators and be the face of the company, serving as a liaison between the Qlayers team, customers, and suppliers.
  • Finding solutions to complex situations when it comes to troubleshooting the equipment.
  • Staying available for remote support to operations outside of normal office hours.
  • Perform site visits at our clients to determine a project scope.

WHOM ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Professional qualifications and skills:
  • HBO / WO level of working and thinking. Knowledge of and practical experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics background preferred.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is nice to have, but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch is nice to have.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment.
  • Has strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Is willing to travel internationally (30-50%) and work the hours necessary to enable the business to continually exceed expectations.

  • Gross monthly salary of EUR 3500-4000. The exact amount depends on the seniority of the candidate.
