We are looking for a Business Analyst to support our client from our offices based in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Tasks and Activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Analyzing different requirements and standards, identifying the concepts and relationships involved.
  • Modelling the conceptual information using FactBased.
  • Modelling in the NORMA tool using ORM.
  • Semantically validating the data model generated.
  • Transforming the conceptual model into a relational database.
  • Populating the conceptual model with data examples.
  • Generating software specifications for the conceptual model.
  • Formulating software requirements.

Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • A university degree in a beta discipline or economics (with a sense for IT).
  • Solution-oriented and able to translate the complexity of processes into improvements and clear, achievable goals (including the path to get there).
  • Analytically strong and IT skills: capable of developing and utilizing analytical methods and IT tools to make processes transparent and support decision-making.
  • Result-oriented team player: comfortable functioning within a cross-functional environment focused on team results.
  • Pragmatic and innovative: Able to use pragmatic and, where necessary, new methods to achieve (measurable) improvements (of business processes).
  • Interpersonal skills: Able to promote trust and cooperation both within the own team and in client relationships.
  • Takes a broad interest in the general area of work, capable of gaining insights beyond conventional boundaries and willing to explore unexplored avenues.
  • Dutch citizenship.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • BPMN knowledge.
