Within the Investments & Data Technology department, the Investments Bespoke Solutions (IBS) team develops custom applications to drive our core business processes. Every day, millions of euros flow through IBS developed systems. Examples are applications for instrument ranking, for investment portfolio rebalancing and for evaluation of investment opportunities. The team consists of 20 software engineers who have successfully developed several key applications over the last few years. Our cloud solution architect enables the teams to do their work as autonomously as possible.

For each team we have an experienced product owner. They all have a strong future vision and can translate it to our daily work (backlog).

IBS is continuously improving their technology and their way of working. We are the front runner in both technology and our way of working. We currently work in 4 scrum teams and aim to be as agile as possible. This means that we have adopted a DevOps way of working. New applications are deployed in Azure and are cloud native by design. Microservice architecture is combined with concepts like Domain Driven Design and principles such as CQRS and Event Sourcing. We make use of APIs to expose data to other teams or expose data within state-of-the-art Vue.js web frontends. Automated testing is an integral part of our development strategy.

We are looking for a candidate for the position of “Senior developer” for the IBS team who can help realize our ambitions and goals.

A suitable candidate has at least 5 years of development experience and can drive change. You can establish yourself as a trusted consultant and advisor. You can deliver results and achieve objectives, both autonomous and in a team setting. You are a strong team player.

Primary tasks

• Software development; ranging from architecture, application design and requirements gathering, to development, testing and delivery of solutions.

Knowledge and experience

• Bachelor+ education and work level
• At least 5 years of relevant development experience
• Technical experience:

• Single Page Applications (Vue)
• Microservices (C# .NET)
• Automated testing (xUnit, Cypress, SAST, DAST)
• Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Helm, Pester)
• Azure
• Kubernetes
• Experience in Scrum and Agile working
• Strong communication and social skills
• Proficient in the Dutch as well as English language (written and spoken)
