As an Investment Operations Oversight Specialist, you will be part of the “Robeco Investment Operations Oversight team,” which ensures the quality and efficiency of the services provided by our external partners. Our organization has outsourced its back and middle-office activities since July 2020. You will collaborate with a team of 12 colleagues, 3 based in Hong Kong, 1 in Shanghai and 8 in our Rotterdam head office.

Our main responsibilities as an Investment Operations Oversight Specialist are:

  • To coordinate and execute the operational touchpoint activities between Robeco, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

  • To oversee the delivery of services by the service providers and monitor their compliance with the agreed quality standards and service level agreements.

  • To identify and implement opportunities for service improvement and operational excellence

Position & Requirements

As an Operations Oversight Specialist, you are responsible for:

  • Performing independent quality checks on the IBOR (Investment Book of Records) delivered by the service provider and challenging them on the quality standards.

  • Supporting and overseeing client restrictions, such as overdrafts and trade reporting.

  • Supporting and overseeing the trade lifecycle management of Securitized and Derivatives transactions by the external providers.

  • Supporting and overseeing the corporate actions elections process, both internally and externally.

  • Ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the information exchanged between Robeco and the service providers regarding Operations related activities.

  • Keeping up to date with the products, instruments and legal and regulatory developments that affect the Operations domain and ensuring the service providers comply with them.

  • Monitoring the quality of the services delivered by the service providers through KPIs (key performance indicators), quality reports and sample testing and intervening when the quality is below the required levels.

  • Reporting on the service delivery by the service providers to Robeco management and management companies, in collaboration with the Vendor Management team.

  • Cooperating with various internal departments, such as Trading, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Implementation, Client Reporting, Investment Change Services, IT Delivery, Continuity & Stability, external counterparties, Compliance and Risk management.

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve procedures and coordinating the improvement initiatives.

Education and experience

  • University Bachelor/master's degree

  • Fluency in English

  • 3 years or more work experience in an asset management with extensive knowledge of various back/mid office processes

  • Experience with supervision of third parties and cooperating with outsourcing partners

  • Knowledge of Qlik sense is a plus.
