At Royal IHC, we are at the forefront of innovation in maritime technology. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated purchaser to join our team as a Tactical Purchaser. In this role you:
- Act as the procurement lead for projects regarding offshore- and dredging equipment
- Manage and execute the entire procurement process of projects
- Build and manage long term relationship with suppliers
- Establish and manage new supply chains in lower-cost countries
- Identify, plan and implement cost reduction strategies which align with Royal IHC’s strategic goals
- Continuously seek and identify opportunities for improvement in the procurement of all goods and services required for the required equipment
- Work closely with colleagues and suppliers
- Will be involved in creating and maintaining the procurement strategy and procedures.
You will work closely with:
- Colleagues from the procurement department
- Colleagues from project teams, for example engineering, project management and quality control
- Cost estimators: Collaborate to see opportunities for our leads and to identify cost-saving initiatives
- Suppliers
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in relevant field of engineering or economics.
- 3 years of relevant experience in procurement within the Hydraulic, Offshore, Marine or similar business in a technical and/or commercial position.
- Technical knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.
- Experience with procurement processes.
- Proactive behavior and can work independently.
- Tactical-minded, good communicator, structured and willing to take initiative.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
