Are you analytical, focused, and motivated? Then the role of Machinery and Piping Hydraulic Engineer is perfect for you! As a Machinery and Piping Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire integration of the hydraulic system on board ships.
Your Responsibilities
- Creating block diagrams for the hydraulic system
- Creating piping diagrams for the hydraulic system
- Making and checking the hydraulic room arrangement
- Checking and integrating hydraulic manifolds into the ship
- Selecting and designing hydraulic blocks
- Tracking package versions during the detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases
- Processing individual installation instructions from the system supplier
- Purchasing valves, fittings, and instrumentation
You will also assess technical specifications and collaborate with the Procurement Department and Lead Engineers Machinery & Piping to make decisions. Additionally, the Machinery and Piping Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for inspections by classification societies and/or clients.
Your Profile
To be eligible for this position, you should have the following:
- A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technician Engineering, or another relevant technical study.
- Experience with (Shipbuilding) engineering is a plus.
- Experience with Cadmatic and SolidEdge is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulations from classification societies and international authorities.
- Awareness of technical developments in the field.
- The ability to initiate research and technical advancements.
