About the Role
Join our dynamic Windows Squad, a vital support team within SWIFT, as we seek a proactive and solution-oriented Windows System Engineer. In this unique role, you'll be part of an energetic team of 8 IT professionals responsible for overseeing Windows infrastructure, security baseline management, monitoring, and problem/change management.Your involvement will extend to actively contributing to the design of our IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on security, efficiency, and standardization. As a Windows System Engineer, your primary focus will be on Enterprise Support Tools, where you'll manage various environments and technologies.

Education
University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
2-4 years of experience in a similar position in a comparable technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day system administration/management activities that may include configuration adjustment/deployment, testing of OS/VMs and additional software.
Resolve problem management issues regarding system/operations by identifying corrective measures/improvements in accordance with the service level agreement.
Deploy releases/updates according to the Change Management process.
May take part in the planning and implementation of system/network projects/improvements, ensuring adherence to detailed processes and procedures and risk mitigation efforts.
Interact with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to guarantee availability of services and/or identify root cause of problems.
Automate administrative tasks and improve the monitoring of systems ensuring efficiency in line with customer needs and departmental policies.
Participate in the development and maintenance of services resilience design and systems operations principles.
Ensure the accurate level of security on the systems and during daily work.

Strong IT knowledge including Windows recent OS, storage, hardware, deployment tools (any), backup and monitoring (SCOM).
Proven understanding of Windows Domain & Systems (servers/workstations) administration, Active Directory management & GPO handling/implementation.
Good knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP.
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware administration) and PowerShell is key.
Flexible standout colleague able to work in an Agile driven organization.
Proficient in English (spoken and written), proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
