As a Senior IT Service Engineer, you will support this mission by ensuring our IT infrastructure and services operate smoothly, efficiently, and securely, empowering our team to focus on critical environmental goals.

THE ASSIGNMENT
As a Senior IT Service Engineer in a growing organization with over 200 users, your role will be critical in supporting and scaling our IT infrastructure to meet the needs of an expanding team. You will manage and optimize the use of a wide range of SaaS applications and cloud-based services, ensuring seamless integration and efficient performance across the organization. Under the supervision of the IT Service Manager, you will help implement and enforce IT processes and policies to ensure security, compliance, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will span from user support and onboarding to system administration and infrastructure management, with a strong focus on user experience and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and helping to implement solutions that enable organizational growth. In this dynamic environment, you will play an essential role in building a resilient IT ecosystem, ensuring that the team has the tools and support needed to focus on its core mission while maintaining a strong and secure IT foundation.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Offering level 2 & 3 support to ensure the smooth operation of IT services for our 200+ users
  • Implementing planned change requests and support enhancements to the IT infrastructure
  • Ensuring uptime and reliability of systems by monitoring performance, resolving incidents, and performing preventative maintenance
  • Documenting systems, technical procedures, and processes thoroughly to ensure consistency and broaden knowledge base coverage
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues
  • Maintaining compliance by enforcing security and architectural policies
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years in IT support and/or system engineering
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL practices
  • Familiarity with Jira and/or another issue tracking platform
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux system administration
  • Proficiency managing and supporting Microsoft Azure and Entra environments
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols, and data storage solutions
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
