JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be working on E2E Global logistics function to work on GL- Strategy that encompasses operational excellence, warehousing excellence, network and Digital solution to integrate Power of one strategy for Global function, He/she will also be responsible for harmonization/standardization of global logistics capability and processes and work closely with Global Logistics Leadership Team (GLLT) to drive ley strategic thrust for the business.

This incumbent will also work with Nutrition Business Group (BG) to ensure key priorities are agreed-to and landed to generate value from Logistics as a function. In this role the person will be responsible to understand BGs specific requirements for Global Logistics and how to deploy our capabilities there by creating a shared workplan. The role holder is also responsible for performance oversight and insights generations for Nutrition BG and GL-Strategy.

The primary focus of this role is to partner with the Nutrition Business Group, and ensure:

1. Connect

• Build and establish a relationship with the Nutrition teams, as to translate needs and requirements into Logistics-specific actions or capabilities.

• Ensure timely, action-oriented monthly connects are in place to bring the desired transparency of Logistics insights to Nutrition BG

2. Land priority projects

• Establish core priority projects with Nutrition.

• A core focus is to optimize our cost base through landing travel right, direct dispatch and design to distribute programs from nutrition sites and respective markets bring distribution cost efficiencies for the BGs.

• Therefor the role has :

i. Engagement of and facilitation of the connect between the necessary stakeholders on all levels (local, regional and global), as well as across functions to ensure timely roll out and expansion of agreed programs.

ii. Active management of the roll out plan at a site level.

iii. Tracking of global benefits returned through agreed nutrition BG specific logistics programs.

3. Contracting

a. Set and agree on our 3-year strategy with Nutrition, whilst ensuring this is fully translated into our Global Logistics masterplan (power of One).

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

• Actively work with GLLT, Finance partner, procurement, BG and D&A to work on Global logistics strategy for GL Function under customer operations.

• Partner with Nutrition to ensure Logistics involvement, transparency, and visibility into key focus meetings and / or discussions.

• Identify key Nutrition pain points to be addressed and translate the requirements into a Global Logistics-specific masterplan.

• Develop a Global Direct Dispatch, Travel right and design to distribute roll out program and lead the implementation of this program for Nutrition Logistics

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Stakeholder relationship management

• Demonstrated ability of leading change management in matrix organizations

• Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution

• Must have the ability to interact at various levels of the company (managing up and down)

• A strong and dedicated understanding towards the nutrition BG needs

• A strong bias for action

• Must be able to flex leadership styles based on the situational need to maximize output

• Experience in managing multi-national teams is an advantage

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

• University level degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering is required.

• 5yrs+ experience managing large global programs.

• 7 to 8 years of good understanding of key logistics programs/Planning /strategy programs in the Region /Markets.
