JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Treasury Manager to lead our Middle & Back Office operations. As the Ice Cream Treasury Manager - Middle & Back Office, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and managing our treasury operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all treasury-related activities, including settlements, reconciliations, accounting, and reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining robust controls, managing risks, and supporting the financial health of our new company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing Treasury Back Office:

  • Ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) settlements of all outstanding transactions, including bonds, commercial papers, FX derivatives, intercompany settlements, and intra-entity bank transfers.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to match cashflows from the treasury system to bank statements, resolving open items promptly.

  • Manage monthly current account interest settlements and hedging between the in-house bank and operating entities.

  • Create and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for new entities under the cash-pool model.

  • Set up and maintenance of Treasury Management System.

  • Handle regulatory reporting of derivatives, such as EMIR.

  • Perform a daily confirmation process for all transactions

  • Leverage advanced technology solutions to enhance treasury processes compliance, reporting, and efficiency

  • Completing all audits with zero non-conformances for internal, external, SOX audits

  • Support projects for treasury reporting and controls.

Managing Treasury Middle Office:

  • Account for all treasury instruments, including bonds, FX derivatives, interest rate swaps, and options.

  • Provide global expertise on (hedge) accounting and reporting, including documentation.

  • Ensure compliance to standards

  • Leverage advanced technology solutions to enhance treasury processes compliance, reporting, and efficiency

  • Prepare Management Information Systems (MIS) reports on treasury activities to support senior management decisions.

  • Maintain robust documentation of all treasury reporting processes.

  • Conduct risk assessments and build controls to mitigate risks.

  • Completing all audits with zero non-conformances for internal, external, SOX audits

  • Forecast global finance costs and track actuals against forecasts.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Achieve zero tolerance to error in settlements, confirmations, and accounting of treasury transactions.

  • Maintain zero open items in daily reconciliations of treasury-related bank accounts.

  • Complete all audits with zero non-conformances for internal, external, and SOX audits.

  • Resolve open queries with operating counterparties and the in-house bank.

  • Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in investment banking, large corporate treasury, group financial reporting, or banking teams.

  • Professional qualification of CA/MBA; additional CFA qualification preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and MS PowerPoint.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Self-driven with the ability to translate vision into actions.

  • Experience working in a complex environment with global stakeholders.

Must have competencies

  • Strong business partnering skills with a service mindset.

  • Ability to develop robust processes and apply professional knowledge effectively.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources.
