The Youth Peace Initiative (YPI) is an initiative set up by young professionals to foster the meaningul participation of young people in peace processes. Over the past years, YPI has been organising many activities such as workshops, trainings programmes, and panel discussions to empower youth to engage in peace processes. The main focus lies on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. YPI has organised conferences in The Hague in 2014, 2016, and 2018, and the Young Leadership Experience in 2019, 2020, and 2021. YPI has, furthermore, been involved with several other activities. In 2017, YPI has worked closely with a group of young Syrians on the 'Futures of Syria' project. In 2018 and 2021, YPI collaborated with the Carnegie Foundation, UNOY Peacebuilders, and the World Class the Hague programme on the Youth Carnegie Peace Prize to highlight outstanding initiatives of young peacebuilders worldwide.
