Your Role as a Cloud Engineer at Youwe
In your role as a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key part in designing and implementing cloud architectures for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and operations staff, to ensure our solutions are efficient and effective. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing client requirements and developing cloud strategies aligned with their business goals.
- Leading architecture designs and ensuring adherence to best practices in security and compliance.
- Advising clients on cloud optimization and cost-efficiency.
- Guiding and collaborating with technical staff to support and enhance implementations.

You are a motivated professional with a strong technical background and a passion for cloud technologies. You possess excellent communication skills and can explain complex concepts in an understandable manner to clients and team members alike. You are a strategic thinker who remains committed to learning and adapting to new developments in the cloud industry. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to you, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with both colleagues and clients.
What you have
- A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of core AWS architecture best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions.
- Expertise in system administration activities including patching, upgrading, and maintaining Linux servers.
- Knowledge of maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible together with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Atlassian Bamboo and Atlassian Bitbucket.
- Experience in maintaining bare metal hardware and networks in the datacenter.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and the capacity to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with stakeholders of varying levels.
Nice to have
- AWS and Google Cloud certifications.
- Understanding Google Cloud services and architecture best practices.
- Networking experience, analyzing packet dumps, multicast routing on hosts and packet filtering.
- Knowledge about server virtualization such as KVM and Proxmox
- Willing to do 24/7 hosting emergency shift.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Datadog, NewRelic, Nagios, Prometheus and Grafana.
- Working experience in Agile/SCRUM environment.
